Adrian & Melissa Szentessy
Adrian & Melissa have been involved with several winch events in the eastern states and the outback challenge for a number of years, and since shifting to the west and seeing that there were limited or no events similar, Adrian & Melissa have decided to give Western Australia an event to rival the outback challenge.
This event will be conducted under the CCDA rules and regulations and will be a group ‘B’ event.
The inaugural event will take place over the ANZAC long weekend 2009 and as the directors Adrian & Melissa will be looking for any constructive criticism after the event to ensure the event’s success for the coming years as the event is essentially yours as competitors and spectators.
Adrian has been involved with all levels of motorsport for over 20 yrs having started in rallying thru to bitumen racing and now 4WDing. During his time behind the wheel, Adrian has also been involved in almost all levels of event management having directed events, event safety officer, fire marshal and flag marshalling in all facets from club level through to F1 and Indy. Adrian always has had a love for the bush and with the purchase of a 4WD to tow his racecar around about 10 years ago, he has changed camps and been involved in 4WDing and the 4WD scene since.
Both Adrian and Melissa have extensive 4WDing experience spending almost every spare moment in the Victorian High Country before coming to the West along with marshalling numerous 4WD comps in Victoria and NSW. They are now both devoting their time to getting Western Australia on the 4WD competition calendar so Easterners will come here for events.
